My goal is to provide a solid foundation for your practice by making yoga accessible, integrating spiritual elements, and promoting self-awareness. I embarked on this path with a strong desire to master myself and understand energy. I believe that reiki, in particular, should be available to those who need it most. It's disheartening to witness exorbitant prices for healing services. I firmly believe that everyone seeking healing should have the opportunity to access it without barriers.
I work well with individuals who are curious and enthusiastic about reiki services, as well as those who already have a strong spiritual practice. When it comes to yoga, I enjoy teaching people of all levels, but I have a special affinity for beginners, individuals with limited mobility, and those looking to incorporate more movement into their daily lives. However, I am not a good fit for individuals who are closed-minded and resistant to practices that differ from their own.
I'd like to share three practical tips that I've learned throughout my career as a spiritual practitioner and public health professional: 1. Prioritize self-care: In order to support others, it's crucial to take care of yourself. Set aside at least thirty minutes each day for your own well-being. 2. Embrace asking for help: While it's admirable to handle things independently, don't hesitate to seek assistance when needed. You might be surprised by the number of people willing to lend a hand. 3. Meet people where they are: Save yourself time and frustration by meeting others at their current stage. Practice patience and understanding to foster effective interactions.
I understand that being a mother can be challenging, and being a black mother can present additional difficulties. It's interesting to note the differences you've observed between motherhood in South Africa and the United States. It seems that in South Africa, there is a strong support system that includes neighbors, family, and even strangers, while in the US, that kind of support may not always be readily available. It's unfortunate that black mothers often have to navigate various roles and expectations simultaneously, which can feel overwhelming and unfair. It's important for support to come from a place of acceptance and allowing individuals to simply be themselves.
